Black Marjieh & Sanford LLP Volunteers at Feeding Westchester, Packing 223 Bags of Fresh Produce for Local Families

The team at Black Marjieh & Sanford LLP continued its commitment to community service with another rewarding volunteer event at Feeding Westchester, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting hunger and food insecurity throughout Westchester County.
During the volunteer event on November 2, BM&S attorneys and staff worked together to pack 223 bags of fresh produce, including cabbage, broccoli, peppers, plantains and other nutritious foods. The bags will be distributed through Feeding Westchester’s Mobile Food Pantries, which bring essential food resources directly into neighborhoods where they are needed most.
Feeding Westchester’s Mobile Food Pantry program helps address barriers to food access by delivering fresh, nutritious food to communities throughout the county. The program is an important part of the organization’s broader mission to ensure that Westchester residents facing food insecurity have access to the resources they need.
For BM&S, the annual volunteer effort represents an opportunity for team members to work together outside the office while making a tangible difference in the lives of their neighbors.
“Giving back to the community is an important part of who we are as a firm,” said BM&S Founding Partner Lisa Black. “We’re proud of our team’s enthusiasm and willingness to roll up their sleeves to support Feeding Westchester. Knowing that the 223 bags of fresh produce we packed will help provide nutritious food to families throughout our community makes this experience especially rewarding.”
BM&S is proud to continue supporting Feeding Westchester and its mission to combat hunger, strengthen communities and help ensure that local families have access to nutritious food.
