BM&S Partner James J. Lofrese Secures Summary Judgment Dismissal in Stadium Construction Injury Case

Black Marjieh & Sanford LLP is pleased to announce that Partner James J. Lofrese secured summary judgment dismissal of all claims asserted against the firm’s client in a construction accident case arising from work performed at a major sports stadium.

The plaintiff, an ironworker, alleged spinal injuries after falling on debris during a roof construction project. Claims were asserted against multiple parties, including BM&S’s client, who was alleged to have caused the debris condition.

Following discovery, BM&S established that its client’s work had been completed prior to the alleged accident and that no causal connection existed between the client’s work and the plaintiff’s injuries. In April 2025,The Court granted summary judgment in favor of BM&S’s client, dismissing all claims.
