Eight BM&S Attorneys Recognized by Super Lawyers® for 2021 Honors

Black Marjieh & Sanford LLP is pleased to announce eight of its attorneys have been recognized by Super Lawyers® for 2021 honors. Five BM&S attorneys were named to the 2021 New York Metro Super Lawyers list and three BM&S attorneys were named 2021 New York Metro Rising Stars.

Partners Lisa J. Black, Sheryl A. Sanford, James J. Lofrese, Steven R. Lau, and John W. Bieder have been selected as 2021 Super Lawyers. Partner Dana K. Marjieh, Trial Counsel Nicole P. Aldridge-Henry, and Associate Nicholas O. Paslow have been named 2021 Rising Stars.

This is the fourth straight year Black, Sanford, and Lofrese have received the Super Lawyer distinction. This is the third consecutive year Lau has been named a Super Lawyer, and the third straight year Aldridge-Henry, Marjieh, and Paslow have been honored as Rising Stars.

“It is an honor to have eight of our attorneys earn this distinction,” said founding partner Lisa Black. “This recognition is a result of the hard work, dedication, knowledge, and collaboration of our entire BM&S team.”

Super Lawyers selects attorneys on the basis of peer nominations and evaluations, as well as independent research. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis.

The selection process for the Rising Stars list is the same as the Super Lawyers selection process, with one exception: to be eligible for inclusion in Rising Stars, a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less.

Less than five percent of the lawyers in the state are named to Super Lawyers and less than 2.5 percent are named to the Rising Stars list.
