Seven Black Marjieh & Sanford Attorneys Recognized by Super Lawyers® for 2020 Honors

Black Marjieh & Sanford LLP is pleased to announce seven of its attorneys have been recognized by Super Lawyers® for 2020 honors. Four BM&S attorneys were named to the 2020 New York Metro Super Lawyers list and three BM&S attorneys were named 2020 New York Metro Rising Stars.

Partners Lisa J. Black, Sheryl A. Sanford, James J. Lofrese, and Steven R. Lau were selected as Super Lawyers. Partner Dana K. Marjieh, Trial Counsel Nicole P. Aldridge-Henry, and Associate Nicholas O. Paslow were named Rising Stars.

This is the third straight year Black, Sanford, and Lofrese have received the Super Lawyer distinction. This is the second consecutive year Lau has been named a Super Lawyer, and the second straight year Aldridge-Henry, Marjieh, and Paslow have been honored as Rising Stars.

“It is an honor to again have seven of our attorneys recognized for this award,” said founding partner Lisa Black. “This recognition is a result of the knowledge, dedication, work ethic, and collaboration of the entire BM&S team.”

Super Lawyers selects attorneys on the basis of peer nominations and evaluations, as well as independent research. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis.

The selection process for the Rising Stars list is the same as the Super Lawyers selection process, with one exception: to be eligible for inclusion in Rising Stars, a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less.

Less than five percent of the lawyers in the state are named to Super Lawyers and less than 2.5 percent are named to the Rising Stars list.
