Black Marjieh & Sanford LLP is pleased to announce that six of its attorneys have been recognized by Super Lawyers® for 2026 honors. Partners Lisa Black, Sheryl Sanford, Dana K. Marjieh, Steven R. Lau, and John Bieder have been selected as 2026 Super Lawyers, while Corinne Scotti has been named a 2026 Rising Star.
This year’s recognition continues a long tradition of excellence at BM&S:
• Lisa J. Black and Sheryl A. Sanford have been named to Super Lawyers every year since 2018.
• Dana K. Marjieh was recognized as a Rising Star from 2019–2023 and has been named a Super Lawyer each year since 2024.
• Steven R. Lau has been selected to Super Lawyers annually since 2019.
• John W. Bieder has earned the Super Lawyers distinction each year since 2021.
• Corinne Scotti has been named a Rising Star for the second time, having previously received the distinction in 2024.
“We’re honored to see the work of our attorneys recognized by their peers and by Super Lawyers,” said founding partner Lisa Black. “These distinctions are a reflection of the talent, commitment, and professionalism they bring to their work every day. We’re especially proud of the collaborative culture we’ve built at BM&S and the dedication our entire team brings to serving our clients.”
Super Lawyers selects attorneys based on peer nominations and evaluations, combined with independent research. Each candidate is assessed on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Selections are made annually on a state-by-state basis.
No more than five percent of the lawyers in each state are selected to Super Lawyers. The Rising Stars distinction recognizes no more than 2.5 percent of attorneys in each state who are either 40 years old or younger or have been in practice for 10 years or less.
