Black Marjieh & Sanford LLP Team Lends a Hand to Feeding Westchester

Team members donate time and effort to help combat food insecurity

Black Marjieh & Sanford LLP (BM&S) team members donated their time and effort to Feeding Westchester, a non-profit dedicated to helping the county’s food insecure residents.

On Wednesday, members of the BM&S team staffed the Feeding Westchester distribution center in Elmsford to nourish neighbors and combat hunger. With their collaborative efforts, the BM&S team packed approximately 124 turkeys, collectively weighing more than 1,700 pounds and they boxed over 2,500 pounds of donated Halloween candy.

Feeding Westchester stands as a central figure in the fight against hunger, working alongside nearly 300 partners and programs to distribute food and resources throughout the community. They not only provide immediate nutritional needs but also contribute to building a sustainable future for Westchester residents in need.

The involvement of the BM&S team in these volunteer activities exemplifies the firm’s commitment to community engagement and social responsibility. Through their actions, they have contributed to a holiday season that offers warmth and community connection for numerous families.

BM&S actively participates in charitable giving and hands-on activities, aligning their efforts with causes that resonate deeply with their associates, staff, and partners. Their contributions to the community, ranging from monetary donations to dedicated days of service, demonstrate a dedication to uplifting those around them and supporting a variety of worthy causes.

“Service to our community is a cornerstone of our firm’s philosophy,” said BM&S Founding Partner Lisa Black. “Our time with Feeding Westchester is a heartfelt expression of our commitment. It’s about lending hands where they’re needed and filling hearts as much as plates.”
